El Coto de las Canteras is better known as the Petra de Andalucía and is hardly known at all by tourists despite its beauty. It is a stone quarry used from as far back as the Turdetano period in the 5th century BCE. It is here that the Iberian civilizations carved out the stones for building. This practice was carried on throughout passing civilizations until the 20th century when it was restored and decorated with beautiful Iberian scupltures and used for concerts, weddings, and visits. It is an incredibly impressive space that you won´t be able to photograph enough.
El Torcal de Antequera is a natural park made up of unusual limestone rock formations dating back to over 200 million years ago. Besides admiring the strange shapes and exploring hidden caves, here you can also find marine fossils since the whole area was under the sea 100 million years ago. The park also boasts of a plethera of beautiful plantlife and wild animals.

Our advice to you is if you want to enjoy 100% of this unique experience of getting to know this wonderful country rich in culture, music, art, and gastronomy, than be open to discovering other forms of life and seeing life, like it or not, but never indifferent, that is for sure.
