Trip to Marrakech for international students
Itinerary: Subject to change due to logistics, waiting time, weather conditions, etc. All of the tour will be by private bus and boat (except for the walking tours).
Morning departure towards Algeciras, we board a fast ferry to Ceuta. Boarder crossing and continuation towards Casablanca. Panoramic visit of the city. Famous for the 1942 film, Casablanca is today the economic capital of the city. Return to hotel, dinner, and rest.
Breakfast. Optional entrance into the Grand Mosque Hassan II. Continuation to Marrakech. Check-in at the hotel. Tour in the famous Plaza Jemaa el-Fnaa, one of the biggest, most animated plazas in the world where you can find acrobats, story-tellers, snake charmers and more. Plus, at night, the plaza transforms into an enormous restaurant of food stands with traditional Moroccan food. Dinner and free time.
Breakfast. Visit of the monumental and historic parts of Marrakech, a city founded at the foot of the Atlas mountains, and principal tourist attraction of the Kingdom of Morocco. Amongst others, we will visit the exterior of the Koutubia mosque, and the Menara Gardens, finishing the tour in the famous Plaza Jemaa el-Fnaa, one of the biggest, most animated plazas in the world where you can find acrobats, story-tellers, snake charmers and more. Transportation to the hotel, Lunch and free time until optional dinner “Fantasía Chez Alí”.
Optional: We recommend opting for the famous dinner show “Fantasía Chez Alí” in the city´s palm grove, with traditional food and folklore. Those who opt for the dinner will have lunch at the hotel instead of dinner.
Breakfast. Departure towards Rabat. Visit of Rabat, Morocco´s capital. Panoramic and monumental visit including the exterior part of the Royal Palace where the King Mohamed VI resides, the Mousoleum of Mohamed V, the Oudayas kasbah, and the Tour Hassan, an unfinished mosque which was meant to outdue both the Giralda of Sevilla and the Koutoubia of Marrakech.
Continuation to Asilah. Evening arrival. Check-in at hotel, dinner and free time.
Breakfast. Visit Asilah, picturesque, artisan, fishing village on the Atlantic Coast of Morocco, for free time and lunch. Departure towards Tangier. Stop at Cape Espartel, where the Mediterranean and Atlantic meet and stop for a short camel ride on the beach. Continuation towards Ceuta and boarder crossing. Afternoon ferry and return to origin cities. Late arrival home.

***On this trip to Marrakech for international students, it is the full responsibility of all travelers to bring valid and correct documentation with them. Passport, ID card, and/or visas.
To enter Morocco, a valid passport is required.
Some nationalities do need a visa to enter into Morocco. Please Consult below.
* If you need a visa, the Moroccan authorities require six month validity on the passport. Otherwise, it only needs to be valid for the length of your stay.
Photocopies of either are NOT valid, you MUST bring your actual passport or ID.

Trip to Marrakech for international students
You may bring whatever size suitcase or travel bag that you like. There are no luggage restrictions.
It is always a good idea to bring warmer clothes for day or night. Comfortable clothing and comfortable shoes are important for the walking tours. For the Fantasía dinner show (if you decide to do it) feel free to bring nicer clothing.
The hotels provide towels and soap but may not provide a hair dryer, shampoo nor conditioner, so bring those if you need them.
Girls, There are no restrictions on what type of clothing to wear in Morocco. It is completely accepted to wear more “Westernized” clothing such as shorts, sleevelesses, etc. You do not need to dress extra conservatively.

Any services not listed are not included in the trip such as extra hotel services like hotel phone, minibar, etc. These will have an additional cost to the traveler if they so decide to use them.

On this tour all breakfasts and dinners (Day 3 is Lunch instead of Dinner) are included.
The drinks are not included, so you will only need money for lunches, drinks and shopping.
We recommend bringing food with you on the first day. You will, however, be able to buy food during your time in the ferry. Later on, we will we will make a stop for lunch so you can eat what you bring or buy food there.
Vegetarian. Allergies and special conditions
Alternative meals are available in the hotels and restaurants. You must let your guide or the restaurant manager know at the beginning of the meal.
The official currency in Morocco is the Dirham (Dh) and the difference is 1€=10Dh.
So if you change 20€, you will get 200 Dirhams in return.
You do not need to exchange money before the trip. You will be able to exchange in Morocco at the hotel receptions. However, you can pay in Euro everywhere and in Dollars in some places.
Lunches and drinks are not included, so a good budget would be to bring between 100€/200€ to pay for drinks, shopping, etc.
The prices are not fixed at the souvenir stores, so you can negociate prices. It is part of the culture, so keep an open mind and have fun trying to get the best price possible!
You can not drink the tap water in Morocco. There is no problem however in showering, brushing teeth, or washing your face, etc.
Morocco is a country very open to tourists and very safe, however, for us your safety is the most important. For that reason our staff is highly trained and qualified in the department of safety. During the walking tour of the marketplace in Tetuan, not only will you be accompanied by your guide and coordinator, but also the Tourism Police Department to make sure that no one is lost in the laberinth of streets and that everything goes perfectly. In the case of emergency we have evacuation plans, full medical insurance, and contact with the Spanish embassy at all times. Traveling with professionals is traveling safely.

The weather can change a bit on this trip. On the coastal cities like Tangier, Asilah, Rabat and Casablanca, the temperature will be mild and cooler. In Marrakech, the weather can be typically very dry and hot, so do bring layers just in case.
You will have some free time in Asilah, Marrakech, and Casablanca.
Marrakech is hundreds of kilometers to the south of the straight of Gibraltar, so to arrive there, do expect a lot of bus time. We assure you that your time in these beautiful cities does compensate the wait though :).
In Morocco it is considered rude to take pictures of people without asking. Most people do not mind but please ask first before photographing someone directly.
