We Love Spain partners with Weekend Student Adventures!

We Love Spain is very excited to announce our newest partnership with Weekend Student Adventures offering you exciting travel packages to cities to Barcelona, Paris, and Rome!

about wsa!

Andy Steves designed the concept for Weekend Student Adventures in his college dorm room after studying abroad in Rome during the Spring of 2008. Growing up traveling with his father, Rick Steves, Andy knew how to get around and enjoyed helping his friends with their traveling plans. Through this experience, he saw an opportunity to create fun, no-nonsense, affordable, and memorable weekend trips. WSA was launched in 2010 after Andy graduated from Notre Dame, and today has grown to a team of amazing local guides and over 3,000 happy customers!

WSA´s Mission
WSA’s mission is to foster fun, respectful, in-depth and unforgettable travel experiences for budget backpackers and students. We empower travelers to become immersed in the cities they visit by experiencing cultures as a local, rather than merely observing them.

How WSA Works

  • Pick your favorite destination and weekend to complete the booking process
  • Upon booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your booking confirmation numbers and details
  • Choose to arrive Thursday or Friday morning, and a WSA guide will meet you and take you out for the time of your life!
  • About 4 days before the trip (usually Sunday or Monday) you’ll receive a prep email with all the key information for your upcoming experience with WSA like weather forecast, directions into the hostel, currency information if applicable etc.
  • The weekend itself is always busy–they  pack in a ton of sightseeing, free time for you to explore on your own, great culinary experiences, and of course nights out to experience the living culture each city is uniquely famous for.
  • If you can work it with your schedule, we recommend arriving Thursday evening, and departing as late as possible on Sunday to give you as much time as possible in-destination. WSA guides fill Sundays with interesting optional activities like trips out to farmers’ markets and beautiful parks.
