ARE THERE ANY CLOTHING RESTRICTIONS IN MOROCCO?

There are no restrictions on what type of clothing to wear in Morocco.   Morocco is very open and accepting to other cultures and tourists in general. It is completely accepted to wear more “Westernized” clothing such as shorts, sleevelesses, etc.  You do not need to dress extra conservatively.

HOW´S THE WEATHER IN MOROCCO?

Morocco is a very large country with all different climates, so depending on where you are, the weather will vary.  If you are doing a weekend trip in the North, the weather will be very similar to Southern Spain making it very temperate and mild due to its coastal location.   If you are doing one of the 5 day trips farther south, you will find the weather to be much warmer and drier.

WHAT CLOTHING WILL I NEED?

On all of the Morocco trips it is recommended to bring comfortable walking shoes and comfortable clothing because you will be touring.  On a couple of the trips (Morocco Fantasy and Viva Marrakech) there are dinner shows followed by dancing (Fantasy trip) so you may want to bring one nice outfit for that night.  On the Sahara Desert Adventure trip, bring warm clothes for the night in the desert because it can get cold.  For that trip you will also need a small overnight bag to take with you (on camel back) for the night in the desert.  If you get seasick, it is recommended bringing medicine with you for the ferry or windy roads .  Normally the hotels provide soap but not a hair dryer, shampoo nor conditioner, so bring those if you need them.  The electrical sockets are the same as European.

Currency

WHAT IS THE CURRENCY IN MOROCCO?

The official currency in Morocco is the Dirham (Dh) and the difference is 1€=11Dh.  In most places however, if you pay in  Euro they will probably charge you 1€-10Dh for conveniency.  So if you pay in Euro, your change, if given in Dirham may be returned as 1€-10 Dh.

WHERE CAN I EXCHANGE MONEY FOR THE TRIP?

You do not need to exchange money before the trip.  You will be able to exchange in Morocco at the hotel receptions.  However, you can pay in Euro everywhere and in Dollars in some places.

Meal Options

ARE THERE VEGETARIAN AND GLUTEN-FREE MENUS AVAILABLE ?

Yes, alternative meals are available in the hotels and restaurants.  You must let your guide or the restaurant manager know at the beginning of each meal.  Also, you are free to bring whatever food and drink you want on the trip.

GENERAL PORTUGAL QUESTIONS

DO I NEED MY PASSPORT FOR PORTUGAL?

Yes you do.  Although there is no border control between Spain and Portugal, sometimes police will do random controls so you must bring your passport (non EU citizens) or ID (Europeans only).  Also the hotel will need to make a copy of your passport, you can bring a copy or just let them do it.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE IN PORTUGAL?

The weather in Southern Portugal is similar to Southern Spain.  It is warm usually but can be rainier and cooler due to coastal position.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET TO PORTUGAL?

This depends on the departure city, but from Seville you get to Portugal in about two and a half hours.

DO YOU HAVE A "MEET US THERE" OPTION?
